 “Quaker State Commercial Finance recently placed and closed a $10,625,000.00 Commercial Construction Loan for the acquisition and conversion of a historic high school to a commercial use. This is a major accomplishment for Quaker State Commercial Finance in a very difficult market”, said Len Keating, President and CEO of Quaker State Commercial Finance. “This is probably one of a handful of major construction loans closed in the country since the beginning of the financial crisis fueled by the sub prime and commercial real estate meltdown”; added Keating. “I am very proud of the dedication and hard work of our staff that made this possible.”

Henry Price joins Quaker State Commercial Finance as Managing Director - National SBA Lending

  “This is to announce a major enhancement to our company and its’ capabilities”, said Len Keating, President and CEO of Quaker State Commercial Finance. “This expansion has been fueled by the chronic inability of small businesses to raise capital; triggered by the crisis in the credit markets that began in 2007”.

 In addition to our current professionals including Edward J. Eyring, Managing DirectorCapital Markets; Harold A. Krakovitz, Managing DirectorCommercial Lending and Manager, Market Research; D. J. Kuzy, Senior Loan Officer and Sales Manager; Jeffrey K. Little, Senior Loan Officer and In House Appraiser and Ray Bradley, Manager of our Charlotte LPO we have added: Henry Price Managing Director - National SBA Lending.

Henry
joined Quaker State in August 2012. Henry brings over 35 years of lending, servicing and workout experience in small business lending, with over 25 years of originating SBA loans; providing real estate, equipment and working capital to meet companies’ expansion, business acquisition and start-up needs. For the past 15 years, Henry was a Senior Vice President at Business Lenders, a national SBA lender, where he was the top producer of originating 7(a) and 504 loans. As part of his responsibilities there, he also headed up the company’s national franchise lending division, and for a time provided servicing and work-out. Over the years, Henry has cultivated extensive working relationships within the SBA lending area, and will get the job done if the transaction is doable, using his expertise to guide the borrower through the process.

Henry received a BA, with a concentration in Accounting, from Babson College in 1974 as well as an MBA, with a concentration in Finance, from Babson College in 1977. He has served as a Trustee in a number of capacities and was active in NADCO (National Association of Development Companies), a Washington, DC organization, providing support to ensure the continued success of the SBA 504 Program.

Harold A. Krakovitz, Senior Lending Officer and Manager, Market Research; joined Quaker State Commercial Finance in December, 2010 after a 25 year career with ICT Group, Newtown, PA; rising to Director of Client Services, Market Research. Krakovitz earned a Bachelor of Science – Marketing from Rowan University. “Harold’s background in market research and telemarketing broadens and enhances our ability to direct our lending firepower where it is needed”; said Keating. “As we are all aware, hundreds of thousands of Real Estate Investors and Developers have been frozen out of the lending arena and need our services. Harold will help get our name and capabilities to these drowning borrowers.”

 Edward J. Eyring joins Quaker State Commercial Finance as Senior Loan Officer

Edward J. Eyring, Senior Lending Officer joined Quaker State in December 2011. “Ed has an extensive background as an investment banker and in credit analysis of fixed income securities and as an insurance rating analyst” said Keating.  After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree from St. Francis University in Pennsylvania in 1972 and an MBA from the Wharton School in 1976, he began his career as a municipal banker at Merrill Lynch in New York, initiating and negotiating financing principally for electric utility borrowers in the public domestic tax-exempt market.  He put together similar negotiated financing packages for traditional municipal borrowers such as hospitals, school districts, single and multi-family housing entities, and sports facilities at Merrill Lynch and Dean Witter (now Morgan Stanley). Credit quality being one of Ed’s strong interests, in 1990 he became a full-time credit analyst focusing on the high yield sector of municipal and corporate borrowers at Smith Barney Mutual Funds, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and Bergen Capital Corp.  At A.M. Best Ed rated many life - health insurance companies based on analysis of their financial position, business profile and operating performance. Ed’s background will further enable Quaker State to enhance our capabilities and stature with more sophisticated investors.
